Flea Market Finds
Yesterday's trip to the Farifax and Topanga flea markets yielded a few surprises, including myself in embroidery form. I've really been trying to diligently look for some art to go around the house, and this week has been very kind to me. I am not very educated when it comes to art, so I just try to buy the things I like, or things I am sure I will never be able to find again. I especially love the two ladies. The eyelashes on the last girl really kill me. But my favorite has to be the ballerina. I think I screamed when I saw it, and with a final price of 15 dollars, I knew I had to have her. If I hadn't bought her I think I would have ended up posting a missed connections ad in desperation. . . "You were wearing a rusty leotard- looking very poised despite the fact that you were sitting on asphalt in the southern California heat...". Oh yes, it is better that she is with me. Mostly because of this:

When I saw the ballerina picture at the top it immediately made me think of your ballerina picture. Glad I'm not the only one that made the comparison :)
